Canelo Alvarez marked a return to winning form on Saturday afternoon in Saudi Arabia, defeating Christian Mbilli by unanimous decision. The judges scored the bout 115-112, 116-111, and 117-110, showcasing Alvarez's skill despite lingering doubts from his previous loss to Terence Crawford in September. While this victory was a step forward, it did not completely dispel the uncertainties surrounding Alvarez's future in the ring, particularly regarding potential rematches with Crawford and Dmitry Bivol, both of whom have expressed ambivalence about facing him again.

Alvarez's performance against Mbilli, while solid, raises questions about his standing among the elite fighters in the division. The fight served as a crucial moment for Alvarez to reaffirm his position after the setback against Crawford, which had left fans and analysts pondering his next moves. With Crawford and Bivol seemingly uninterested in a rematch, the landscape of Alvarez's career is shifting, opening the door for other challengers to emerge, including social media star Jake Paul, who has publicly expressed interest in a bout with the boxing champion.S1S2

The implications of his recent victory extend beyond just the win itself; they could determine the trajectory of his career in the coming months. With potential matchups on the horizon, fans are eager to see how Alvarez will navigate this pivotal moment in his professional journey.S1S2
