The Police Service Commission (PSC) has made significant advancements in the Nigerian police force by approving the promotion of over 3,800 senior police officers. This decision includes the elevation of two Deputy Inspectors-General of Police (DIGs) and ten Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIGs), among others. The announcement was made by Torty Njoku Kalu, the Head of Protocol and Public Relations at the PSC in Abuja, following the completion of recent examinations for these positions.
In addition to the DIGs and AIGs, the PSC has also promoted 17 Commissioners of Police (CPs) as part of this extensive review of the police hierarchy.
