Following South Africa's hard-fought 2-1 Test series victory over Australia, head coach Shukri Conrad has expressed optimism about the team's potential for further improvement. Despite the triumph, Conrad emphasized that the Proteas have not yet reached their peak performance, suggesting that there are still "one or two things that will make us the best version" of themselves as they prepare for future challenges.

Conrad's remarks come as South Africa aims to build on this success and target a second consecutive ICC World Test Championship title. The coach's confidence in his squad reflects a broader ambition within the team to not only celebrate their recent achievements but also to strive for excellence in upcoming competitions. This mindset is crucial as they look to solidify their standing in international cricket following their recent success against a formidable opponent like Australia.S2

The Proteas' victory marks a significant milestone in their journey, but Conrad's call for continuous improvement highlights the competitive nature of international cricket. As they move forward, the focus will be on refining their skills and strategies to maintain their edge in the sport.S1
